摘要
为配合长江三峡工程的文物考古工作，我所考古小组于1999年11-12月对库区内的大沙坝遗址进行了抢救性发掘。大沙坝遗址位于长江南岸的秭归县茅坪镇银杏沱村一组，北与望家湾遗址隔沟相连，东南距中堡岛（三峡工程坝址）、朝天嘴、银街三个遗址分别约2．5、1和0．5公里，处于西陵峡中段古遗址密集区的西部（图一）。遗址残存面积不足1000平方米，分布在山前一级台地上，
The Hubei Dashaba site lies on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, by the river course 2. 5 km upper than the Three Gorges Dam. It was a rather large site in the middle section of the Xiling Gorge. The last excavation on its surviving part was carried out in 1999, which brought ,eo, light a semi-subterranean house, a kiln, and six ash-pits. The unearthed cultural relics include stone implements, pottery objects and a few jade and bone artifacts.
