栗实蛾[Laspeyresia splendana (Hübner)]室内饲养观察、田间调查和防治试验的结果表明:在夏秋季,该虫卵期(3.6±0.4)天,幼虫期(12.5±1.5)天,蛹期(9.4±1)天,成虫产卵前期(3.5±0.5)天,成虫寿命(10±2)天,完成1个世代需(30.5±4.5)天.卵散产,平均每头雌虫产卵(50±10)粒,孵化率为93%.幼虫6龄,食料不足时可转果危害,每头幼虫蛀食栗果1～4个,成虫无趋光性.在粤东栗区1年发生6～7代,以幼虫在落地栗壳、树干等处越冬.第一代田间发生量极少,第2～6代幼虫取食果柄、蛀食栗果,造成严重危害.毒死蜱和杀虫单等杀虫剂对该虫有良好的防效.

The results of indoor breeding, observation, field investigation and control tests of Laspeyresia splendana （Hübner） showed that in summer and autumn, spawning period of the insect is 3.6 ± 0.4 days, larval period 12.5 ± 1.5 days, pupal period 9.4 ± 1 days, preoviposition period 3.5 ± 0.5 days, adult life 10 ± 2 days, time to complete a generation 30.5 ± 4. 5 days. Eggs are laid sparsely, average eggs laid by one female are 50 ± 10, and average hatchability is 93%. Larva have 6 instars. If there is not enough nutrition, it may change to another fruit, larva may eat 1-4 fruits, and adult does not have tendency of phototaxis. 6-7 generations will be produced in East Guangdong chestnut producing area each year, and larva lives through the winter in fallen chestnut shells, and trunks, etc. Numbers of first generation are very few in the field, larva of generations 2-6 eats fruit stalks, and fruits, causing serious damages. Several pesticides such as chlorpyrifos and molosultup , etc. have good control effect on the insect.
