On the base of comparison between the traditional pattern and the pattern based on numerical simulation, the paper expounded the application method and idiographic steps of numerical simulation technology using in sheet metal forming. Furthermore, it discussed the key issues in application and developing direction. The author points out that it is effective and scientific in exploitation of sheet metal forming die, which using the numerical simulation technology.
