The development, function of electromagnetic stirring technology and its application at home and abroad are summarized, the characteristics of composite and multi-model types of electromagnetic stirring, electromagnetic brake technology and soft contact technology of continuous casting are analyzed, several suggestions to optimize the major continuous casting production lines in Angang are advanced.
