摘要
文章从创作思想出发对《骆驼祥子》和《无名的裘德》进行了透视和解读,认为哈代和老舍分别继承和借鉴了英国小说的现实主义传统;通过描写下层人物的悲剧,继承和发展了传统的悲剧创作,这说明了他们有雷同的悲剧观;他们虽受到了人道主义思想的影响,但人道主义只在哈代的作品里留下了永久的烙印,老舍却在《祥子》里超越了人道主义成为一名革命作家。
The present thesis attempts to compare the artistic ideas of Hardy and of Laoshe as revealed respectively in .Jude the Obscure and Rickshaw. The writer argues that both Hardy and Laoshe follow the fictional realism in British literature and that their similar views on tragedy lie in that they inherit and enrich the traditional theories of tragedy by introducing the lower class people into tragedies and that though they are influenced by humanitarianism, only Hardy sticks to it to the end whereas Laoshe has gone beyond it ever since Rickshaw.
