Discussion on the Ultimate Value of People- oriented Viewpoint from the Efficiency and Fairness

效率与公平是人类社会追求的两个基本价值目标。通过对效率优先论、公平优先论、效率与公平兼顾论的评析以及对我国历史与现实的考察,阐明了效率、公平与以人为本应该统一于整个社会的可持续发展,而这正是以人为本的终极价值。

The efficiency and fairness are two basic goals of value which the society of mankind seeks after. This paper judges on three theories about priority for efficiency, priority for fairness and having both qualities, and makes an investigation of Chinese history and reality, elaborates the unification among efficiency, fairness and people-oriented viewpoint. The three points guide to sustainable development of the whole society, and moreover, the sustainable development is the ultimate value of people-oriented viewpoint.
