On the Cultural Implication of the Image of "Unbounded Desolation" in Allegories of the Early Qin Dynasty

在先秦古籍关于神话的记载中,有大量有关“大荒”意象的描写,形成了后世文学作品的一个传统意象。从地理、政治、文化等发展的过程可窥见先秦神话中“大荒”意象的文化底蕴。

In ancient allegories of the early Qin period,there is a great amount of descriptionin which the image of 'unbounded desolation' appears frequently.This image became a traditional image in the literary works in the years to come.This article attempts to explore the cultural implication of this image from the geographical,political and cultural perspectives.
