泰州市有线数字电视服务平台是把现有模拟频道(原有的模拟频道正常传送)整体压缩到数字通道中并行(双轨制)传输。通过租赁、分期付款等灵活的销售方式提供基本型机顶盒。2005年开始逐步减少模拟传输频道,最少只留10套基本频道。2008年后,将大量增加数字频道,大力发展数字用户,将模拟电视用户分块分步地整体向数字转换。2010年完成全市100万有线电视用户的数字化过渡,关闭模拟电视前端系统,实现全面数字化。

The platform of Tai Zhou digital cable TV is paratactic transmitted through compressing the original analog channel （the analog channel are transmitted normally） totally into digital channel. It provide basic STB in a flexible sales mode such as rent, installment etc.. From 2005 it begins to decrease the analog channel step by step, reserve 10 basic channel. After 2008 it will increase large numbers of digital channel and develop digital subscriber, totally transitioning from analog TV subscriber to digital step by step. Till 2010, it will finish the digital transition of a million cable TV subscriber all over the city and shut down the analog head-end system, realize the entire digitalization.
