民族精神和时代精神是一个民族赖以生存和发展的精神支柱和强大精神动力,是中华民族的伟大脊梁。弘扬民族精神和时代精神,才能使我们中华民族自信、自立、自强,团结和谐,奋发有为,开创中国特色社会主义新局面。在构建社会主义和谐社会的过程中,必须弘扬民族精神和时代精神。

National spirit and epoch spirit are what a nation rely on to survive, and they are the great support of Chinese nationality. Only by carrying forward our national spirit can we keep our confidence, independence, unity, improvement and can we create a new age for socialism with Chinese chaacteristics. In the process of building a harmonious society, we should carry forward Chinese national spirit and epoch spirit.
