摘要
越来越多的孩子开始在很小的时候学习第二语言,为孩子们学习编写的教材也纷纷亮相,许多社会团体或教育机构相继开设了第二语言课程,聘请了教师,并把校名改为双语学校,以此吸引了不少的家长和学生。可是双语教学没有对孩子们的语言发展有实质性的促进作用,经调查,发现很多家长和学校存在一些错误观念,这些错误观念已经影响了儿童的语言发展。这就有必要阐述人们观念上对儿童第二语言学习(在很多国家和地区指的是英语学习)的错误认识,以及由此可能产生的不良后果,并希望全社会认真考虑早期儿童的第二语言学习。
Increasing numbers of children are starting to learn English at every younger age. Not only are the numbers of child learners increasing, but the context within which they learn continues to formalize and commercialize. Increasing numbers of course books for young learners are being published. And a great number of social oommurities or education institutes set up second language course, employ profes- sional teachers and change their school name as bilingual school to attract parents and students. Much material shows that bilingual teaching didn' t stimulate children's language development .I made some researches on it and found some wrong concepts existing among people, these wrong concepts have affected children's language development. This article is written to explore wrong concepts and analyze the consequences resulting from wrong concepts . I hope our society to consider bilingual education in early childhood and I have to say “slow” to bilingual teaching in early childhood.
