树立以创新能力为核心的教育质量观,提高创新教育的质量,是我国高等教育迈入大众化阶段后,高校面对人才市场的激烈竞争,做大做强,提高自身竞争力的重要课题,也是高校树立和落实科学发展观,谋求高教事业走内涵发展、可持续发展的必由之路。学生工作是高校育人工作的重要组成部分,高校学生工作如何在“第二课堂”促进学生创新教育的实施及创新人才的培养,是新时期高校学生工作的重要内容。必须在学生工作实践中,创新观念、机制、队伍、内涵和载体等,努力构建学生工作的创新教育体系。
