The history of modularization design and the concept of module and modularization design were introduced. Analyzed the characteristic, function and advantage of modularity design. Expatiated the principles of module partition, and classified the manner of modularity design and the modularity system. The steps of modularity design were introduced particularly. Analyzed the osculation relation between modularity design and modern times technology, and the example about modular design of a arisen numerical control lathe have been given.
