This paper overviews the characteristics of the gunning maintainance of the blast furnace,the choice of gunning monolithic materials ,the remote control gunning process for the blast furnace and the factors influencing the gunning installation. The different type of gunning monolithic materials should be adopted according to the different part of blast furnace. The main factors affecting the gunning installation are as follows=the cleaning of the servicing part,the water quality and the water addition,the air pressure for transporting the gunning monolithic materials, the gunning speed, the cure after gunning installation, the commissioning schedule for dryinq and the application of anchors.
