The make-up and principle of filter rod reservoir and conveyor system YF171 were introduced, and the determination of main technological parameters was discussed，including ： the maximum input/output speed of filter rod, capacity of solidifying area, structure of modular units and conveying passage, and the amount of filter rod in storage area and storage duration. The electric control system of the device was also introduced.
