摘要 棉纤维细胞是由胚珠的部分表皮细胞经分化突起发育而成的,在整个生长发育过程中棉纤维细胞只生长不分裂,是一种很好的研究植物细胞生长发育机理的模式材料.近年来国内外不少研究者已经分离出一批对棉纤维初生生长发育有重要作用的功能基因,并阐明了这些基因的表达及调控特征.这些基因的分离和鉴定不仅有助于阐明植物细胞分化和伸长发育的分子机理,而且还可以促进棉纤维品质改良遗传工程的开展. The cotton fiber cells are initiated from the individual epidermal cells of ovule. During the development, the cotton fiber cell only grows but does not divides, so it is a kind of model material for studying the mechanism of plant cell growth and development. In recent years, a number of functional genes playing important roles in the primary development of cotton fiber cell were isolated and their expression and regulation characters were illuminated, which not only is helpful for the understanding of the molecular mechanism of plant cell differentiation and cell elongation, but also enhances the practice of genetic engineering in improving the cotton fiber qualities.
