The effects of Ni contents and the process parameters of austemporing on the abrasive resistance of austempored ductile iron were measured by self- made abrasive wear machine,The abrasive wear mechanism of austempered ductile iron was analysed,The results showed that,austem pered ductile iron was wcared in cutting mechanism under the condition of fatigue abrasive wear with low stress. The abrasive wear resistance of austempored ductile iron can be improved by changing Ni content and optimizing the process parameters of austempering.
