In 1995, coding of speech at 8kbit/s using CS_ACELP was standardized as recommendation G.729. It is expected to be used for such multimedia applications as PHS （Personal Handy - phone System） service, desktop conference at bit rates below 64kbit/s, and multiplexers for effective use of transmission capacity. This paper introduces the algorithm structure of G.729 and performs this recommendation on TMS320C6211DSP.
