Design is one kind of human creative activity, it has dual characters of material and spirit, which decide it has economic value and social value. They interact and are integrated in design. Criticism on design does favor recreation of design value. The criterion of design criticism has its historical meaning. The establishment of design criticism system should be based on the modern view to serve people better under the guidance of theory.
