Methods for promoting the life of open gears of steel-ball coal mill

齿面磨损是钢球磨煤机开式齿轮传动的主要失效形式，提出了延长其传动寿命的方法，分析了齿廓形状对减少齿面磨损的作用，提出了使总磨损量最小的渐开线齿廓确定方法，并给出了计算实例。

The abrasion on gear surface is the main failure type of open gears in ball mill. This paper points out some methods to enhance the service life of open gears. The way is proposed to determine the optimal profile for minimal the total abrasion depth. An example is also given for discussion.
