This article dealt with the technical revamp on the normal duty electric arc furnace plant at Anyang Iron &SteeI Company,in which new processes have been adopted such as high car-bon ratio,intensifying oxygen blow,strengthening the seconda ry refining, lowering the reduction time in furnace and minimizing the shut down time. As a result the revamped furnace ha5 broken through the designed capacity of steel output by about 30%and therefore the production demands are well satisfied and remarkable economical effectiveness achieved.
