This paper describes that the study on the david poplar timber to make compound plywood.The results of study show that the major property indexes of physical mechnics of compound plywood are as same an the whole of traditional plywood.The compound plywood is made form surface layer material and core layer material.The surface layer material is made from the veneer latbed by good david poplar wood.The core layer material is made from the shaving board from inferior wood material.
