精神分裂症患者的性别和年龄与药物有效剂量的相关性

The relationship between the sex and age of schlzophrenic patients and the effective dosage of drugs.

对１６４例精神分裂症的用药有效剂量调查结果显示：男性剂量高于女性；男病人，２５岁以下年龄组有效剂量最大，女性则是４６～５５岁组剂量最高；而５５岁以上男女病人有效剂量均明显低于其他年龄组，原因可能与激素及躯体机能状况有关。

AbstractObjective:To study the relationship between the sex and age of schizophrenic patients and the ef-fective dosage of drugs,Method:The effective therapeutic dosage of 164 schizophrenic patients were in-vestigated by review of case records. Result:The dosage of male patients was significantly higher than that of female patients,The effective dosage for 16-25 years old male subjects was the highest.But the dosage for 46-55 years old female patients was higher than that of other female patients. The ef-fective dosage for both sexes with age above 55 was significantly lower than that of other age groups.Discussion:The higher dosage of male patients might be due to their greater average body surface area,and higher levels of testosterone,The latter might lead to more impulsive and aggressive behaviours and hence a higher dosage requirement of drugs. The higher level of estrogon in female patients rnight also exert some antipsychotic effect.Therapeutic effects could also be related to the type and duration of drug treatment,psychosocial factors, and certain prognostic factors.Prospective controlled studies are recommended.
