Abstract An SEM observation was made of the morphology of peripheral erythrocyte of 3 systemic scleroderma patients with blood stasis and 1 healthy female. The result showed that the normal erythrocyte of the healthy person was over 90% while that of the systemic scleroderma patients was about 80%. In the increased abnormal erythrocyte,there was a marked increase of lacunar twists.
