The essay considered that in contracted operation it is feasible for geological and prospecting units to do. gain-loss analysis based on the functional relation between the variables of cost and time, as the tasks are known and fixed. Furthermore, the loss or gain of the contracting unit is c]osely related to the time it takes to complete the tasks. The calculating method used in the analysis is also introduced in the essay.
