The article holds that the operating mechanism of geological economy should be one in which“the market guides the geological and prospecting units while the state regulates the market”. The market, as a controlling tie, should be“a transaction market”true to its name, rather than a“simulated” one. Suggestions for formulating geological projects and pricing are put forward.
