防排烟系统与通风空调系统兼用，具有节约投资和占地、可靠性高等潜在优势。通过加设转换装置等手段，单风道空调系统和厨房、地下车库的排风系统等都可能兼用作防排烟系统。对有关的设计方法、理论，仍需深入探讨和规范化。
By adding switching mechanism and other necessary means,such ones as single duct air conditioning systems and kitchen and underground carpark ventilation systems can also function to control and extract smoke in a fire. Further discussion is essential to developing the related equipment as well as design concepts,procedure and guidline.
