his paper,describing the developing situations of the leather industry in theworld,believes that this industry in the world is facing a new growing period,and atsame time, leather makings and sale centre are moving to the east一Asia. Thedeveloping situations of the leather industry throughtout the world have already pro-vided a good chance for developing the industry in China. On the other hand, theleather chemical industry regarded as a branch of leather industry, pointed out alsothe article, is meeting at present expanding chance, but in the meantime facing thechallenge of severe competitions in the market. The leather chemical industry in Chi-na will be drowned in the competitions in world market,unless it protects,under theorganization of the whole trade,itself and helps each other for development,in orderto make a contribution to the Chinese leather industry.
