Long-Acting Antifreezing Fluid for Motor Vehicles

防冻液的主要成分是防冻液和水。防冻剂有盐类及醇类，用盐类作为防冻剂，虽然降低冻点，但有可能腐蚀冷却系统及引起结垢现象，影响汽车发动机的有效使用，因此防冻剂多选用醇类。依所用的醇可将防冻液分为三类：乙醇－水防冻液；甘油－水防冻液；乙二醇－水防冻液。着重对乙醇－水类型的防冻液作了论述。

The main conpositions of long-acting antifreezing fluid for motor vehicles are antifreezing agent and water. Anitfreezing agent can be classified into two catgories, salt and alcoholic liquid. The salt antifreezing agent has low freezing point, but it probably corrodes the cooling system and therefore leaks to form water deposit, which will influence the efficiency of engine. For this reasor,alcoholic liquid is usudlly selected to be the antifreezing agent. Alcoholic antifreezing fluid can still be classified into three kinds: ethanol-water, glycerine-water and glycol-water. This paper lays emphasis on a description of ethanol-water antifreezing fluid.
