摘要
本文基于我所１９８８年、１９８９年两次南沙地质调查以及大量地震剖面的综合分析，系统阐述了南海西南断裂构造的特征及性质，指出南海西南主千断裂为多期活动的走滑断裂，是它们控制了油气盆地的形成与演化以及局部油气藏的形成。
Based on the two geological surveys of the South China Sea in 1988 and 1989,and on the analyses of a great deal of seismic reflection sections, we discern thefaults in the South-China Sea are strike-slip faults. The characteristics and evolutions of the strike-slip faults are discribed. Furthermore,the relation between thesrtike-slip faults and the accumulation of oil and gas is also discussed.
