The ash composition in coal distinctively affects the melting point of ash.Forthe sake of providing the stable operation in coal fluidized bed gasifiers,it is necessary to un-derstand the role of coal composition on the ash agglomerating during the coal gasification.The present results with XRD,EMPA and LTA analysis indicate that Fayalite and Gehleniteare the most possible precursor for agglomerating ash as a sphere during the Dongshan andShenfu(Shanxi)coal gasification respectively.
