The paper gives every viewpoints of forest development and nature protection, forest economic benefit and ecological benefit of internal and external. It points out the shortage of these viewpoints and analyses dialectical relationship between forest logging and forest ecology using philosophical principle of materialist dialectics. Meanwhile, it points out that forest logging and forest ecology are unity of opposites and expends this deeply. It provides theoritical basis in order to use forest resource reasonably and give consideration to forest economic benefit and ecological benefit.
