This paper analyses the present situation of ship moving factordetermination. It also introduces a new method of determing ship'smoving factors with a GPS navigator from the view point ofapplication as people become awear more and more of the highaccliracy, continuous positioning and easy operation of GPS andare carrying out researches on the application of the system invarious (lomain. The method, onc of the applications of GPS, isprecise, easy to use and applicable for all kinds of ships.
