On the Multiple and Comprehensive Functions of Transportation

基于社会学的结构功能理论和整体系统的观点，通过对交通运输业的经济功能、政治功能、社会功能及文化功能的微观分析，阐明了交通运输与社会各个构成部分之间的内在联系。并在此基础上，指出只有使多种功能综合地发生作用，才能确保交通运输整体功能的最好发挥。本文将交通运输业置于宏观的社会大背景之中，全面地审视、客观地评价了其在整个社会体系中所处的地位与作用。

Based on the theory of sociological structure function and overall and systematic viewpoint,and through micro-analysis of the economic,political, social and cultural functions of transportation,this paper illustrates the close relations between transportation and other structural parts,Furthermore it asserts that only when the various functions perform comprehensively can the best performance of the overall function of transportation be secured.This paper,setting transportation in the big social background,carries out the all-sided examination and objective analysis of the position and function of transportation in the whole social system.
