本文从流形拓扑学的概念与理论出发，与数字图像处理理论相结合，提出了一种全新的数字图像的概念结构，并在此基础上产生了边缘检测方法，形成了一个完整的图像二值化分割算法体系，操作简单、适应性较强，并有多种方式可供选择．

In this paper,a new system for image processing based on the manifold topological theory is presented.New conepts of pixel-simplex,edge-simplex and associated algorithm for edge detection and image segmentation are also Presented.These new concepts and algorithm are promising in binary image extraction.In this paper,the color classlfication for color geographic map image is mainly dealt with.
