By the Euler equation and juncture equation of the variational method,this pa-per has made but a solution to the safety factor of simple homogeneous soil slopes.The solu-tion is more explicit,direct and facile than the partition method or the finited element method obtain the safoty if the slope angle,height,cohesion and density of the soil are given.
