摘要
介绍了以半导体激光放大器(SLA)为ASK调制器、掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)为光前放接收机的2.5Gb/s超高速光纤传输实验.实验结果表明,当半导体激光放大器工作于高饱和状态时,其调制带宽可以高达GHz数量级.光前置放大器的应用,可以使直接检测接收机的灵敏度提高一个数量级.在2.5Gb/s、NRZ码、2-7-1伪随机序列的传输实验中所取得的系统灵敏度为-39.5dBm;接近相干系统的性能.
An optical fiber transmission experiment at the super high speed of 2.5 Gb/s has been performed, using a semiconductor laser amplifier as the ASK modulator and an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) as the optical preamplified receiver. The results show that the modulation bandwidth can be the order of GHz, and that in terms of the optical preamplifier, the sensitivity of the direct detection receiver can increase by one order. The system sensitivity measured in the transmission experiment with 2.5 Gb/s, NRZ Code and 2-7-1 false random sequence is -39.5 dBm, which is close to that of the optical coherent system.
