Abstract The paper elaborates the main problems and difficulties of large and medium - sizedstate - owned enterprises, analyses the major reasons causing these problems and difficultiesand the surroundings of the enterprises' existance and development. On this base, the paper supplies some countermeasures for the sustained development of the state enterprises.
