摘要
钙是重要的生命元素之一,真核生物中普遍存在介导钙信号的钙调蛋白已有深入的研究,证明钙调蛋白是细胞复杂调控系统中的一个重要成员,但是在原核生物中是否也存在类似的蛋白因子却一直说法不一。自80年代初在大肠杆菌(Escherichiacoli)中首次发现类钙调蛋白(calmodulin-like-protein)以来,已在多种原核生物中陆续发现了类钙调蛋白的存在,证明其可能参与了原核生物的孢子形成,细胞分裂,生物固氮,异型胞形成和兰细菌光合作用等多种调控功能。文章综述了近年来这一领域的部分研究成果。
Calmodulin is currently regarded asa central component in a complex regulatorysystem in the eukaryotic cell and imposes con-trol upon many of the essential metabolic andphysiological functions of the cells,But theattempts to find such calmodulin-like-proteinin prokaryotes always gave controversial con-dusion before. Since the first calmodulin-like-protein was found in E. coli in the early 1980s,the protein factors have been detectedin many kinds of prokaryotes,and their regu-latory functions have been found in sporula-tion,cell fission of bacteria,heterocyst cyto-differentiation,N_2 fixation and photosynthesisin cyanobacteria etc. The recent researchprogress in the field was reviewed.
