SP-2 acid corrosion inhibitor is a thioureas type compound with long chain.It was synthesized and studied with weight loss method and electrochemical technique. Thecorrelations of inhibitive property of SP-2 with its concentration,corrosion temperature andtime reveal that the compound acts as inhibitor in the acid env ironments.Furthermore,polarization curves show that SP-2 acts as mixedtype inhibitor.SP-2 can suply the excellentprotection for A3 carbon steel and stainless steel.
