Abstract In this Paper, a new class of Newton-like method (pseudo-Newton-δ class) is presented. It does not belong to the Huang class, and the sequence of matrices updated by this method remain symmetric and positive definite. The global convergence of this method with exact and inexact line search is proved when applied to the uniform convex objective function.
