Abstract Based on the idea of multidomain for studying two-dimensional steady NavierStokes equations with Dirichlet boundary condition for the viscous incompressible flow, a kind of link domain decomposition method is formulated to overcome the difficulty of the compatibility conditions. The convergence is proven in a certain sense and the effect of the overlapping domains is analyzed.
