TRIPARTITE DIVISION OF THE CRETACEOUS AND THE CRETACEOUS-JURASSIC BOUNDARY IN ANHUI

安微白垩系划分为上、中、下统。下统由火山喷发—沉积相的火山岩、火山碎屑岩—沉积岩组成;中、上统主要由山麓相、河流相、湖泊相的碎屑岩组成,各统间一般为不整合接触。生物群演变,同样具有三分性。

According to the paleontological data and isotopic age data.a tripartite division of the Cretaceous in Anhui has been made and the Cretaceous-Jura- ssic boundary in the province has been revised.According to the geological characteristics of Anhui,the great majority of the strata in Anhui may correspond to the Rehe Group,and the Jiande Group should be of early Cre taceous age.The Upper Jurassic is absent in most parts of the areas north of the Huaihe River and along the Changjiang River.
