Application of Computer Simulation to the Performance Evaluation of Telecommunications Network

本文介绍了可在微机上实现大规模电信网路模拟的实用化软件SIMUNET,及其所采用的无时钟事件追踪法。该软件可用于规划中的电信网路和实际网路的模拟及性能评价,也可用于不同流量控制算法的评价。文中给出了一个评价实例。

The paper introduces an applied software package, SIMUNET, which can simulate a large scale telecommunications network on a micro-computer with event approach without clock. SIMUNET can be applied to simulating a real or planned network and evaluating its performance. It can also be used in the evaluation of various traffic control algerithms. An example of evaluation is given in the paper.
