The Law of Value and Library Work

依据马克思主义劳动价值理论,从经济角度分析了图书馆运行机制,得出了图书馆只有学会自觉运用价值规律,积极主动地参与价值运动和社会总资本增值的过程,方能在促进经济增长的过程中发展的结论。

This paper, in the light of Marxist labour theory of value, analyses the mechanism of library work from the economic point of view. The paper suggests that the effect of the law of value has infiltrated into every field of society under the condition of market economy. In these circumstances, libraries should learn to apply consciously the law of value and participate vigorously in the motion of value and the process of producing surplus social capital. Only by doing so can libraries develop themselves in the process of bringing about an increase in economy and enhance the quality of the whole of labourers.
