A simplified procedure is established for the calculation of head loss from multiportdiffusers in a river based on the tried step-by-step method. Detailed analyses are made to identifythe sensitivity of the effects of each system design parameters on the modifying coefficient in thepresented total energy loss equation and a plotted result is recommended to determine thecoefficient value. Finally, the simplified computation curve is given.
