摘要
研究和开发了一个性能分析系统,它能自动地提取描述程序运行过程的真实数据,依据这些数据描述并行FORTRAN程序的各种性能指标,并对影响程序运行性能的原因作出直观的图形表述,本系统的实现策略也可用于其它并行语言编写的并行程序的性能分析。
The use of parallelism in a program presents many new opportunities for performancedegradation, such as load imbalance, communication overhead, and sguchronization wait. Itis significant to analyze the performance of parallel programs. In[1-3], some discussion hasbeen done on the performance of parallel program but there are no overall assessments ofparallel performance. Our work is based on the study of executing states of parallel FORTRAN program, and we develop a tool for performance analysis, which not only capturesthe exact data when the program is runing but also describes the performance results as wellas the reasons of performance degradation with straightforward graphics. The methods usedin this system can also be applied to realiaing the performance analySis of parallel programwritten in another parallel language. The implementation of thiS tool will contribute to accelerating the development of the parallel system software and application software.
