Guiding drilling technique was used in theLiaodong gulf of Bohai to lighten the loading of drills andso ensure the safety of hanging arms by accurately control-ling the traces of drill hole.The practise of applying direc-tional driliing technique was so accumulated.for the use ofhanging-arm drill platform which will play an importantrole in the exploration and exploitation of marinepetroleum .
