Study on the mental health status among 237 blind and low vision students

通过对237名8-20岁盲校学生心理卫生现状调查,发现近半数(45%)盲生生活态度是积极向上的,中间类型的学生占48%而持消极生活态度的学生只是极少数(7%)。盲生比对照组表现更多的情绪不稳,爱发脾气,敏感、紧张等情绪反应,而且随着年龄增大,某些情绪反应有增强趋势。盲生独立意向形成较明眼学生差,且约有1/4的盲童在交往方面与明眼人有心理隔阂。

Compared with 282 sight normal matched students as controls,237blind and low vision students(BLVS)were tested with self-designed questionnaire for theirmental health status.Results show that more BLVS(41%)with unstable emotion and lessBLVS(17%)with independent charatcter were found in the comparison with controls(29%and 35%).About half of BLVS kept a positive attitude towards their blindness,againstonly 7% BLVS were stronly dependent,social withdraw or rejected their blindness.Somesuggestion have been put forward by the authors based on their findings.
