in this paper, the authors first introduce a new concept on military electronicmap, that is, the system should consist of two parts--data entry subsystem and mapmarking subsystem. Domestic and overseas research situations in this field are reviewed, andthen the configurations and some key techniques in developing general electronic maps aredescribed in detail.
