The activated bentonite was prepared with the bentonite from Nanhai,Guang-dong Province. The technological process and reaction conditions were studied.The compo-sition of the product was determined by chemical analysis,IR spectra and X-ray diffractionmethods. The decolorizing efficiency,the activation grade and the free acid content of theproduct were measured also.
